Aperitivos de Añavieja has been an organic chips manufacturer for more than 25 years, it was the first Spanish company to produce organic chips and probably also in Europe. Our raw materials come from our own sources of potato and corn. Our vision is quite particular: Quality and Nature are the pillars over which we base all our actions and decisions.
The whole process, from beginning to end, is controlled in order to guarantee high quality products which can satisfy the most demanding markets. Emilio Zamora, our owner, comes from a family of farmers who, generation after generation, has shown its good work and concern for innovation in the field of agriculture and livestock. The interest in organic crops goes many years back, when Emilio Zamora tried organic farming on a small part of their lands.
Today, we have 200 hectares of organic crops in Añavieja lands dedicated to organic potato and other ecological grains and legumes. The manufacturing process focuses on the respect for the product, with manual operation throughout many stages such as grinding, peeling and selection of the chips before packaging. In line with its commitment to the environment and sustainability, Aperitivos de Añavieja uses a closed water cycle and generates by-products in its processes. Since 2012 we are IFS certified, maintaining our commitment to quality. This year, our IFS level was upgraded.
