This summer exhibited again extremely high temperatures worldwide, resulting in significant water loss in freshwater reservoirs. As climate change amplifies, it is warranted to protect our vital resources. Every year, leakages waste billions of cubic meters of water in our water distribution network. Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing freshwater networks is becoming increasingly complicated and expensive for municipalities, municipal companies, and water utilities as they operate under stringent conditions such as limited budget, workforce shortage, and limited knowledge of the risks pertaining to their infrastructure.
This webinar discusses the water leakage risk mapping solution developed by JAXA-certified start-up Tenchijin and the underpinning technologies: smart data (from satellites and water network) fusion, machine learning, and user interface. It deep dives into the benefits brought to end users with respect to planning, operation and maintenance, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement. The presentation will be about the use cases from Japanese cities that adopted the software to reduce water leakages.
