German-Japanese October Technology Forum

The German-Japanese October Technology Forum is a platform for promoting cooperation between Germany and Japan in the fields of ICT, DX and GX. It is also a leading example in the regular German-Japanese ICT policy dialogue between the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport.

This fourth forum will focus on climate change and the future of agriculture facing both Germany and Japan, as developed countries facing challenges, while discussing solutions using DX and GX approaches.

Invitation to the 2nd Digital Automotive Summit

Call for tenders for the study on the production and use of advanced materials

The Commission has published the call for tenders for the study on the production and use of advanced materials (see Action 13 of the Communication on Advanced Materials for Industrial Leadership, COM(2024) 98 final).

The study will perform an in-depth analysis of production and use of advanced materials in the EU, in comparison with the US, UK, China, South Korea and Japan. In particular, it will identify, categorize, and measure the development and adoption of these materials across different sectors within Europe, providing a comprehensive overview of the region's position in the global advanced materials landscape.

Trilateral AI Conference 2024

12-13 November 2024, Tokyo, Japan

This German-Japanese-French conference will address how to make GenAI democratic, transparent and sustainable. How can we ensure inclusive access to AI technologies and foster the creation of public and open-source models? How can we enhance the transparency of AI algorithms? How can we navigate the dual challenges of reducing the environmental footprint of Generative AI and enhancing its social equity, to create technologies that are both green and fair?

The organizers invite participants from all disciplines, backgrounds and career stages to join the interdisciplinary discussions and kick-off projects for future collaborations. Registration for 13 November has reached maximum capacity and is now closed, so they'd appreciate it if you'd still register for 12 November.
